How to Check NMCN Examination Result for General and Post-Basic Nurses

NMCN Examination Result Statistics for General and Post-Basic-Nurses [November, 2019]

Summary of the results are as follows:

a. General Nursing Programmes:

i. Basic Nursing Programme: 
Total of Four Thousand, Four Hundred and Ninety-Six (4,496) candidates were successful in the examination representing 82% pass.

ii. Refresher Programme:
Total of Thirty Five (35) candidates were successful in the examination representing 26% pass.

iii. Foreign Trained Nurses:
Total of One Hundred and Fifty Five (155) candidates were successful in the examination representing 46% pass.

b. Post-Basic Nursing Programmes

Total of One Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty One (1,261) candidates were successful in the examination 92 % pass.

Nursing & Midwifery Council Nigeria Registration and Licensing Guidelines 2019/2020

Successful Candidates are hereby directed to Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (portal.nmcn.gov.ng) to apply online for Registration and Licensing with effect from Thursday 19th December, 2019.


Please note that online registration and payment formalities are to be completed within the ninety (90) days from the day of result release. Also note that late registration attracts attracts a penalty fee of Thirteen Thousand Naira (N13,000) only per applicant after ninety days.

The next Professional Examination for General Nurses will be communicated in due course. Modalities for online registration and payments will be communicated in due course.

Head of Nursing Training Institutions are hereby requested to send in Hard Copies of application forms for entry into this examination to reach the council early. Application forms received after the stipulated deadline will be out-rightly rejected.

Please acknowledge the receipt of the result and contact the Secretary General/Registrar immediately for notification of any error.
